People often ask me how to recycle their electronics, batteries and appliances. As a general guideline I will list various ways of recycling these items.
First of all, there is an appliance and computer drop off on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9:00 till Noon at te south entrance of the erie county fairgrounds.
If you are unable to get your computers dropped off at that time you can leave a response to this thread and I will try to make arrangements to pick up any old computers.
I have use for old computers as Take-apart. I have kids take computers and peripherals apart so they get an idea of how they work.
For smaller electronics like cell phones, pagers, gps, mp3 and ipods, I belong to a non-profit group that sends these in for recycling. This also includes ink jet printing cartridges. For these items, respond to this thread and I will try to make arrangements for pickup.
For Batteries (all types), Gallagher's at 301 E. Market St. is a good place to get these items recycled.
