Judge Marsha Pechman, in Seattle Washington, has issued a ruling on February 22 that may be of interest to consumers in our area. That is, the door has been opened for a class-action suit against Microsoft regarding the advertising of machines sold late in 2006 during the holiday season that included XP that were labeled as, "VISTA compatible." At issue is the fact that these machines were more than likely capable of running only the Basic version of VISTA, and not one of the ones with the newest features. You can read about this report published in the Seattle PI site here:

Microsoft has yet to respond to this decision. I was wondering if we had any affected consumers in our region?
